Master Program

To be eligible for the Master Program you must have successfully completed the Black Belt Program. The Master Program is made up of 5 Components (Dan levels). Each level is made up of nationally accredited qualifications / units and Specialist programs.

1st Dan

Accredited qualification;

CPP31318 Certificate III Security Operations (Delivered by RTO)

Specialist program:

Conflict resolution = 10hrs
How to manage intervention in a violent situation to support security personnel = 10hrs
Advanced defensive tactics level 2 = 75hrs
Advanced weapons defensive tactics level 1 = 50hrs

2nd Dan

Pre requisite CPP31318 Certificate III Security Operations

Accredited units;

CPPSEC3114 Control security risk situation using firearms (Delivered by RTO)
CPPSEC3115 Carry, operate and maintain revolvers for security purposes (Delivered by RTO)
Or CPP3116 Carry, operate and maintain semi-automatic pistols for security purposes (Delivered by RTO)

Specialist program;

Advanced Firearm fundamentals (Includes range time) = 25hrs includes 10hrs range time
Advanced Firearm retention = 25hrs
Advanced weapons defensive tactics level 2 = 50hrs

(100hrs)

3rd Dan

Pre requisite CPP31318 Certificate III Security Operations

Accredited units;

CPPSEC3118 Inspect and test cash-in-transit security equipment (Delivered by RTO)
CPPSEC3119 Implement cash-in-transit security procedures (Delivered by RTO)
CPPSEC3120 Load and unload cash-in-transit in secured and unsecured environments (Delivered by RTO)

Specialist program;

Identifying mobile risk situations = 20hrs
Advanced firearm tactics (live fire with Simunition) = 10hrs
Advanced weapons defensive tactics level 3 = 50hrs

(80hrs)

4th Dan

Pre requisite CPP31318 Certificate III Security Operations or CPP31418 Certificate III in Close Protection Operations

Accredited units;

CPPSEC3122 Plan provision of close protection services(Delivered by RTO)
CPPSEC3123 Implement close protection services (Delivered by RTO)

CPPSEC3112 Manage training and wellbeing of dogs for security functions (Delivered by RTO)
CPPSEC3113 Handle dogs for security patrols (Delivered by RTO)

Specialist program;

Advanced defensive tactics to protect others
- Specialist stream (Close personal protection evacuation strategies) = 40hrs
- Specialist stream (Using dogs) = 40hrs

Participant is required to submit a essay between 2 – 4 thousand words of their own experience and provide recommendations on how to approach working in the private security industry.

5th Dan

Pre requisite CPP31318 Certificate III Security Operations or CPP31418 Certificate III in Close Protection Operations

For the 5th dan level the participant must complete all of the following:

Accredited units;

CPPSEC3122 Plan provision of close protection services (Delivered by RTO)
CPPSEC3123 Implement close protection services (Delivered by RTO)

CPPSEC3112 Manage training and wellbeing of dogs for security functions (Delivered by RTO)
CPPSEC3113 Handle dogs for security patrols (Delivered by RTO)

Specialist program;

Advanced defensive tactics to protect others
- Specialist stream (Close personal protection evacuation strategies) = 40hrs
- Specialist stream (Using dogs) = 40hrs

Participant is required to submit a essay between 5 – 8 thousand words on their developed strategies working within the private security sector including planning, management of staff / teams and personal recommendations of best practice related to their area of expertise

Specialist program $20 per hour of study

Range fee $100

Range fee for Simunitions training $150

RTO delivered units are separate and are to be determined by the RTO
